Welcome to
The Bead Store & More. Our selection of beads has grown tremendously since we opened our doors on April 1, 2006. There are over 10,000 strands of beads, which include semi precious stones, freshwater pearls, South Pacific Ocean pearls, shell beads, crystal, glass, millefiori, cat eye strands and more. In addition to the strands, we also have tens of thousands of loose beads. There is a great assortment of crystal, swarovski
crystals, sterling silver, gold filled, and other metal beads, as well as clasps and findings. We have a vast selection of tools and finished jewelry as well.
Join us in one of our many classes exploring different beading techniques. A trip to our store is perfect for all levels of experience, from the beginner to the experienced. Stop on by and let your creativity flow!
Diane, the owner of the shop, has been beading for many years. Her specialty is stringing and wire work. All of us are great at color coordinating and helping people to get started as it can be overwhelming in the beginning. We also know that there will always be new things to learn which is what makes this such an exciting hobby. You can never get bored with beading.
Store personnel Judy, Kathy, Linda, Lori, and Paige have a variety of talents and experiences to share with you through classes and informal advice and help. We also have instructors who come in from time to time to teach special classes. Recently these have included Deb Fairchild, Joy Raskin, Karen Anderson, and Kristin Miranda. Deb and Joy are well respected juried members of the League of NH Craftsmen, in the areas of beadwork and metalwork, respectively. Karen is a "bling specialist" who has recently been teaching a Jump Knotting technique which has been very popular. Kristin has shared her sterling silver name bracelets, a perennial favorite to commemorate mothers, grandmothers, and other loved ones in an enduring and original way. Judy teaches techniques with Crystal Clay, an epoxy clay that is combined with Swarovski Crystals to create eye catching jewelry of all types. Kathy is a specialist in stringing and beadweaving, and is well known for her lariats and unique combinations of colors and textures. Linda is a fan of teeny tiny beads. She loves to create peyote weave items using delicas, and her work is precise and beautiful. Lori makes beautiful bracelets using right angle weave, square stitch, and ladder stitch. She is a specialist in embellishment and has been very successful with beginning beaders who build confidence with her help. Paige, who is away at college during the academic season, works primarily with natural materials such as leather and hemp. She is great at visualizing patterns and teaching them to others. She is a talented young beader, who works in all aspects of beading and does some great things with beads knotting.
